Adobe introduced a nice feature into Adobe Reader starting with version 9.3: the ability to automatically update itself when configured to do so. This works great, improves security, and saves system administrators time. Unfortunately, Adobe Flash Player's only update setting concerns whether to notify the user, and suggest an update. Most users, however just see an annoying pop-up that they don't understand, and close it as fast as they can. If Adobe can run a program in the background to notify the user about an available update, there is no reason it shouldn't be configurable to automatically run the update, especially on logon, when the notifications pop up. Please, Adobe, make it happen. Close web browsers if they have already started. Run the update, and then open the browsers again. There are still many security bugs being found in Adobe Flash Player. Please do this, Adobe.
