There isn't really a sub-reddit for something like this, so this is the next logical place for this. I work a in a testing center/training center as an instructor, but I'm also basically an administrator there of sorts and manage the machines occasionally if my boss asks me to. I've been having a problem with an update that PearsonVUE has done to their website. They require some bullshit SSL certificate, that just doesn't work. It is a one time thing: Input a user ID, group ID, and special PIN. Generates a certificate. But the douchebag certificate doesn't install. :(
When going back through the process, we have to call PearsonVUE to generate another PIN, and go through it all over again. What the hell can I check to make sure this certificate installs? The only thing I really know about it is it uses/requires ActiveX. All the security was disabled in Internet Explorer, and my boss still had problems. :\
Edit: Was able to fix problem by upgrading to IE8. 0_o Thanks anyway /r/Sysadmin
