Happy Friday sysadmin,
We are working on migrating our AD from FRS to DFS. We have a site in VA and one in AL and haven't had any issues when it comes to AD replication but when I run repadmin /replsum, I get the following output:
Source DSA largest delta fails/total %% error AL-DC2 09m:56s 0 / 5 0 VA-DC1 09m:56s 0 / 5 0 VA-DC2 04m:46s 0 / 5 0
Destination DSA largest delta fails/total %% error VA-DC1 05m:28s 0 / 5 0 VA-DC2 10m:38s 0 / 10 0
Experienced the following operational errors trying to retrieve replication info rmation:
58 - AL-DC1.domain.xxxx 58 - AL-DC2.domain.xxxx I have Googled the crap out of this but none of the solutions seem to work. The AL and VA DC's can both resolve each other via IP or FQDN, so it seems DNS is setup properly.
When I did the dfsrmig /setmigrationstate 1, it actually worked and now the AD is set to Prepared so am I missing something here? Replsum is saying that replication has errors yet it seems to be working fine?
Any help would be awesome cause I am completely stuck.
edit: Forgot to mention that if I run repadmin /replsum from the AL DC's, they give the same output as above except the 58 errors are for the VA DC's.
