Virtualizing a box used for Powerpoint presentation

We're about to start virtualizing a bunch of our servers, but there's one that controls the presentation to the main display in the cafeteria. Obviously we can't have the server output to the tv once it's virtualized, so I came here looking for some ideas. Is there a cheap box designed to only run Powerpoint (netbook?)? Obviously we can use an old laptop or something, but it would be nice to get a little creative with it while being as cheap as possible.

Thoughts?

EDIT: This server does more than just the Powerpoint. We want to virtualize the server but we just don't want the Powerpoint to hold it back, so we are just looking for another method for it
