Hi there,
Quite experienced sysadmin but never had much to do with Video Conference apart from occasionally use Tandberg systems at my old work place. We have a solid infrastructure to support video conferencing but I need to know about standards and compatibility.
Essentially we are wanting the following:
Room in main office with Camera wide enough for the whole room. We will then 2 remote users who will use their own laptops to do video conferencing with head office and also with customers.
I anticipate we will have a server (either dedicated server) or software installed on a server and made accessible outwith our network.
So... Tandberg.. Polycom etc.. whats best for cost and flexibility. H.323 and SIP - what are the videoconferencing standards?? Connecting with other systems & manufacturers.. NAT issues for remote users? Recommended camera for main office. Integration with VOIP and Telephone lines? Skype Integration
Also interested to hear if anyone has experience with integrating with Office Communications server.
Would appreciate any info / feedback or experience you have to get me started.
Many Thanks
