I would like to be able to set up my 2TB of data to where I can access it online, ONLY by me. What is the best, and more secure way to achieve this?

Security and data integrity is my biggest concerns. The data will be stored at my house.

EDIT: the data consists of files (PDF, .doc, exe, etc). I basically have nothing set up or any equipment other than a workstation running windows 7 and my 2TB HD that I would like to have available online. I will be going to the computer store tomorrow to pick up whatever is needed to make this happen. Im assuming im going to need some type of server. Also, the data doesn't only needs to be available for me to download to other workstations as needed.
