Win7 workstation not resolving hostnames

I have one Win7 machine that won't resolve \hostname but \12.34.56.78 works just fine. No other machines on the network are displaying this issue. My best plan of action (reboot) failed to fix the problem. Any ideas?

EDIT - this is only a problem with one server. I can ping the hostname. I can get to \FQDN, just not \hostname. I get the error - the specified network name is no longer available

EDIT 2 - DNS seems fine as ping works. Seems like a windows explorer issue
