Loud servers, what a concept right? Except mine run at full fan load. Constantly. Two Dell R710's with all their fans at 12k is LOUD! In the bios, I have tried the different power management functions (hardware controlled, OS controlled, low-power, high-performance), and neither of them result in the fans calming down once the system is booted. In my VMWare options I have tried setting different Power Management schemes as well (similar options, high perf, low power, balanced) and those don't seem to make any difference either. Am I missing something??
