I have a datacenter in a relatively isolated area, housing about 15 servers, and about 60TB of data total. I have no idea what to do about off site backup solutions. My internet speed is about 50 down, 12 up (cable). The issue I have is that a night's backups take significantly more time to push off-site than 1 night. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to push the whole operation off site- my network is gigabit and the network IO is almost saturated all day long. Total changes in a day on my network exceed 1-2TB, so even deduplication is rough because of the size of the comparison operation that must be performed.
What do see as the best option here? I think I can muster about $10K. Any advice or strategy is appreciated. I am an 75/25 Windows/Linux shop. I have been through a lot of bullshitty salespeople, consultants, and vendors. I'd like an unbiased opinion of what to do with my White Elephant other than find another job.
