We're in the process of rolling out Windows 7 to our branch offices. We are using an image that had some updates slipstreamed into it using sysprep. Right now, we're having to download about 24 updates which takes a while when there are several machines updating and all the competing network traffic.
Since we don't have any WSUS servers in our branches, we have to manually download the updates. I was looking for offline updating utilities and found this utility: WSUS Offline Update. Does anybody use this at their workplace? What are your experiences? Is it safe? I've scanned it with NOD32 and didn't find it didn't find any vulnerabilities. Just curious to see if it's worth it and if it's safe. Thanks Reddit!
