After some poking and prodding my workplace is finally switching to a new backup strategy. Currently our planned backup is to run a full nightly backup to tape monday-friday on a two week rotation. We're switching to a NAS and offsite hosted storage for our new one. I'm trying to figure out how much space to plan for the offsite storage. I know I'll need at least ~150Gb for a full image backup but we are only making so many full backups per year. I'm know what the difference is between the two but I'm not entirely sure how to implement them so that's why I'm asking here.
I should say that there aren't a ton of files being changed through out the day so a lot of the backups will be fairly small. This part maybe tripping me up more than anything else. If you need any details of the server it's running Server/Exchange 2003 and acting as a file server along with a couple of other minor task.
