So my saying goes: Computers are like stocks. You want to diversify so if 1 is down the other is most likely up.
So the idea being. You dont be Microsoft only. You dont be Linux only. etc etc. You should mix as much as you can everywhere is the best plan.
The only reason I see this isnt done more is I suspect. Linux admins hate the evil microsoft blah blah. Windows admins most likely arent knowledgeable about other operating systems and suffer from head in the sand syndrome.
Microsoft obviously wants 100% of environment as that's money to be had. So they push being 100% windows.
Am I seeing this badly? Is it not better?
